The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and creative Multimedia Specialist I who understands the power of storytelling through video, photography, animations, and graphics. This role involves producing high-quality content for social media, websites, marketing campaigns, and podcasts, working within a dynamic team of creatives. The position plays a key role in supporting strategic marketing and communications strategies that directly impact students, faculty, and staff. This versatile professional creates and manages various media content and supports multimedia events for the College of Undergraduate Studies, including Zoom, Teams, and live social media events. The ideal candidate is flexible with work hours, coachable, and eager to learn all aspects of multimedia in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and produce videos, photos, and motion graphics for social media platforms and marketing campaigns.

  • Develop content and manage social media channels, newsletters, and websites.

  • Plan and execute live social media events, podcasts, and multimedia projects. Attend and capture content at special events, working flexible hours as needed. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various types of Audio/Visual equipment, including cameras, audio recorders, teleprompters, and lighting equipment.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop content strategies and storyboards for multimedia projects.

  • Assist with the development of communication strategies to reach target audiences.

  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance content quality and effectiveness. Working within a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing to ensure content remains engaging and relevant.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Production).

  • Proven experience in video production, live event streaming, and photography.

  • Proficiency in graphic design using Adobe Creative Cloud software (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop).

  • Experience with content creation for various platforms, including webpages, social media, and presentations.

  • Experience with third-party message distribution systems, such as myEmma.

  • Knowledge of AP Style writing for crafting social media posts and copywriting.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Agility to learning new skills, concepts, trends, and technology.
