Prep Girls Hoops was in attendance for the Carvers Bay Summer League once again. Who played well? Lady Chiefs Play Well:

The Lady Chiefs will rely on the trio of Faith Farmer Faith Farmer 5'7" | SG North Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC , Nevaeh Washington Nevaeh Washington 5'10" | C North Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC and Madison Vereen Madison Vereen 5'11" | PG North Myrtle Beach | 2027 State SC this season. Farmer and Washington both bring senior leadership to the table. Faith really was looking to attack the basket here all day long with her play.

Washington does a good job of keeping the ball up high after securing it off the glass. Nevaeh is best suited in a half-court style offense where she has a chance to post up and play close to the basket.

Farmer was able to drop off some dimes today using the lost art of the bounce pass to her teammates. Faith scored several buckets in transition on layups.

Vereen is a long and rangy guard already for her young age. Madison was able to finish with her left-hand at the bucket while playing extremely active in the passing lanes. She picked several steals and deflections here today. The Lady Chiefs will play this coming season in the new Class 5A region at along the Grand Strand with the likes of Carolina Forest HS, Conway HS, Myrtle Beach HS, Socastee HS and St James HS.

Lady Panthers Have Davis Sisters – McLean Out:

The Carolina Forest HS Lady Panthers will really rely on the Emerie Davis Emerie Davis 5'9" | PF Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC , Madisyn Davis Madisyn Davis 5'7" | SF Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC and post player Miracle Mclean Miracle Mclean 6'2" | C Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC to lead the way this season. Emerie Davis Emerie Davis 5'9" | PF Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC got things going quickly with her play here at the Carvers Bay Summer League. Emerie has the luxury to play inside-out at times and really has a knack for scoring the ball very efficiently. She dropped a few floaters along the way when she wasn’t stepping out for a jumper on the perimeter. Emerie brought the ball up in transition and was able to penetrate-kick to the open teammate. She really has a very good skill set with her overall game.

Madisyn Davis Madisyn Davis 5'7" | SF Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC was playing on the ball here today for the Lady Panthers. Madisyn was able to finish through contact and get to the foul line. She connected on some open jumpers from the perimeter. She felt most comfortable playing on the ball at the point guard position.

Miracle Mclean Miracle Mclean 6'2" | C Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC was not in attendance here today as she was attending an elite camp in the Northeast according to the coaching staff.

Lady Sharks – First Action – Youth Movement:

St James HS Lady Sharks haven’t had much court time this June. With the gym floor being stripped at the school (unreal why do you that in June) court time as been limited. This very young and unexperienced roster for Head Coach Paul Hudacko will be playing in a new region this season at the beach. The Lady Sharks will be fine in due time and certainly will surprise some folks down the road this season in Murrells Inlet.

Lady Monarchs Showing Improvements:

Manning HS Head Coach Justin Johnson had to be smiling seeing where team is now compared to early June. The Lady Monarchs have gone from 8 players to 16 players on the roster. The Lady Monarchs will rely on Ameerah Conyers a youngster down in the post to maybe build the program around. Taniya Johnson, Ashanti McLeod and Makayla Fordham all will be players to monitor moving forward. Things can only go up for the Lady Monarchs moving forward. Manning HS dropped down in classification to Class 2A this coming season. The Lady Monarchs have tested themselves playing in the Carvers Bay Summer League and the SCBCA Team Camp in Rock Hill this June.

Oceanside Collegiate Secures Win over Carolina Forest HS:

The Lady Lansharks defeated Class 5A Carolina Forest HS here today in a tight game down to the wire. Left-handed shooting guard Ella Mae Schepp Ella Mae Schepp 5'8" | SG Oceanside Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC had the hot hand for Oceanside Collegiate. She connected on several three-pointers from the corners. Ella is best suited when she has time and space for her shot. She tends to have really good shot selection along the way.

Forward Lauren Hagmeyer Lauren Hagmeyer 5'10" | PF Oceanside Collegiate Academy | 2027 SC didn’t score the ball a lot, but she certainly did a lot of other things to help her squad to victory. Lauren brings plenty of hustle to the floor with her work ethic and determination around the paint area. She was able to take a few charges and collect a few rebounds down the stretch that keyed the victory. Lauren has really good footwork to work both sides of the block and rebound outside of her area.

Josie Hanks Josie Hanks 5'7" | CG Oceanside Collegiate Academy | 2026 State SC , Henley Hanks Henley Hanks 5'8" | SG Oceanside Collegiate | 2026 State SC and Ella Hunter Ella Hunter 5'4" | CG Oceanside Collegiate | 2026 State SC are the three other starters here for the Lady Landsharks. The Lady Landsharks will rely on this starting lineup right here for a lot of production this coming season.
