Los Alamitos quarterback Alonzo Esparza Alonzo Esparza 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Los Alamitos | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Cal last Tuesday.
Esparza completed 67 percent of his passes for 2605 yards with 26 touchdowns and just six interceptions last season for Los Alamitos. His first two seasons were spent at Culver City and Sierra Canyon, respectively.
He had 13 other offers including Arizona State, Florida State, Ole Miss and Oregon among others.
Esparza is one of seven players from California in Cal’s 2025 recruiting class and the first quarterback.

He is long and may project better as a edge rusher at the college level than a tight end.
Fetuli is LDS and may serve a two-year mission for the church before playing at BYU.
He took an official visit to San Jose State and also was recently offered by Utah Tech.

He also had offers from Boise State and James Madison among others.
Gibbs is one of seven recruits from California in Washington State’s 2025 recruiting class.

O’Neal was a backup for Malachi Nelson as a freshman at Los Alamitos and started at Newport Harbor last season.
He’s having a monster offseason earning MVP honors at the Under Armour camp and honors at the Elite 11 Regional.
O’Neal had 28 other offers and is the first player from California in Oklahoma’s 2026 recruiting class.
